Contact Lenses

Many of the same tests performed at your comprehensive eye exam are performed for your contact lens fitting, but there are additional tests that are necessary in order to test the curvature of your eye and its health. Without proper health, wearing contacts can make the situation worse or spread infection to the other eye, so the majority of this evaluation is dedicated to make sure your eyes are healthy, and we recommend you come in annually for a checkup.

After this evaluation, your doctor will find contact lenses that fit your eye perfectly, both in terms of prescription and in terms of size, curve and thickness. Once you have your contacts, you will have a one-on-one consultation with our in-house expert, who will teach you how to put in, take out, clean, store and handle your contacts. This is quite possibly the most important part of the process because without proper handling techniques, your eyes can suffer, perhaps even permanently.

After you feel comfortable with your new contacts, we will schedule a follow up appointment in one or two weeks to make sure that your eyes are handling the contacts as they should be.
